Neda eCampus is a place for professional learning. This policy says what may not be published or posted here — by creators in courses, and by learners in forums, assignments and profiles — and what we do when something breaches it. It is short because most of it is obvious; it is written down so that decisions are made against a rule rather than a mood.
1. Not allowed
- Unlawful content — anything that is illegal to publish in Austria or in the country it is aimed at, including incitement to violence or hatred, terrorist content, child sexual abuse material, and content that breaches sanctions.
- Content you do not have the right to use — other people’s courses, books, videos, images or code reproduced without permission. The Copyright and takedown page explains how rights holders can tell us.
- Misleading claims — about accreditation, recognition, qualifications, job outcomes, earnings or equivalence to a degree or licence, unless true and substantiated. Fake reviews, fake enrolment numbers and invented instructors are included.
- Harassment and abuse — of learners, creators or staff, in any channel on the platform.
- Other people’s personal data — publishing it without their consent, including in assignments and forum posts.
- Malware, scraping, and circumvention — anything that attacks the platform, harvests data from it, bypasses access controls, or shares access credentials.
- Courses that are a sales funnel presented as non-commercial, or that exist to promote a scheme rather than to teach — see the eligibility policy.
- Regulated advice presented as such — a course may teach about law, medicine or finance; it may not hold itself out as individual legal, medical or financial advice.
2. Accessibility and quality
Every image in a course must have a text description; the platform will not accept one without it. Videos should have captions or a transcript. We ask creators to meet WCAG 2.1 AA where their content allows, and we will help where we can. We do not otherwise judge course quality — learners and the refund policy do that.
3. How we find out
We do not monitor content proactively. We act on notices — from anyone, through the contact form or info@neda-els.com — and on what we see in the ordinary course of running the platform. A good notice says which course or post, what rule it breaches, and why; we will acknowledge it, look, and tell you what we decided.
4. What we do
Depending on how serious it is: ask for a change; hide the content while it is fixed; remove it; suspend the course; or, for serious or repeated breaches, close the account. For clearly illegal content we remove first and explain afterwards. In every other case we tell the person responsible what we did, which rule it breached and on what facts, and they may ask us to reconsider; an uninvolved person reviews it and answers within 14 days. We keep a record of each decision for a year.
We report to the authorities where the law requires it, and we preserve the evidence when we do.
