Two things on Neda eCampus are reserved for organisations working for a public or non-commercial purpose: enrolment codes, which let an organisation give its own people access to a course without payment, and the cause discount on the annual course-space fee. This policy says who qualifies, what we ask for, who decides, and what we keep.
1. Who qualifies
- Academic institutions — universities, colleges, schools and research institutes, public or accredited private.
- Non-profit organisations and NGOs — registered as such in their country, including charities, associations (Vereine), foundations and international organisations.
- Public bodies and intergovernmental organisations.
- Non-commercial courses — a course that is free to every learner and is not used to promote a paid product or service, regardless of who publishes it.
A commercial training provider, a company training its own staff, or a consultant using a free course to generate paid work does not qualify, however worthy the subject. The test is the organisation and the course, not the topic.
2. What we ask for
One document showing the organisation’s status: a registration extract, a charity or association number, a listing in a public register, or a letter on headed paper from an authorised officer. An email address on the organisation’s own domain helps. We do not ask for financial statements or membership lists, and we will not keep more than we need to record the decision.
3. How to apply
For a cause discount, tick “apply for a discount” at checkout when buying a course space and complete the short form, or email info@neda-els.com first. For enrolment codes, choose “enrolment code” as the access mode when you set up a course; we ask for the same evidence once per organisation, not per course.
4. Who decides, and how fast
A person at Neda reviews every application; it is a judgement, and we do not automate it. We answer within 5 working days. If we approve a discount, we send a coupon code for use at checkout. If we decline, we say why, and you may reply with more information. An approval covers the organisation for two years, after which we ask you to confirm nothing has changed.
5. What we keep
The organisation’s name, the evidence you gave, the decision, who made it and when. This is kept for as long as the approval is in force plus the seven years our accounting records require, because a discount is a pricing decision an auditor may ask about.
6. Misuse
Enrolment codes are for the organisation’s own learners. Selling or publicly sharing codes, or using a non-commercial course to sell something, ends the approval; courses concerned are moved to the paid or free access mode, and the discount is withdrawn from the next renewal. We will tell you before we do either.
