Payout Terms

These terms describe how course creators are paid for sales of their courses on Neda eCampus. They form part of the Creator Agreement.

Status: paid courses are not yet on sale while the payment system is completed. These terms describe how payouts will work when they are, so that nothing changes underneath you later.

1. Who holds the money

Neda does not hold your money. Payments from learners are processed by Stripe, a licensed payment institution, and your share is held in a connected Stripe account in your name from the moment a sale settles. Neda takes its margin as a fee on each transaction and never has your funds in its own account. This is deliberate: it means your money is protected by Stripe’s regulatory safeguards rather than by our solvency, and it means we are not acting as a bank.

2. Before you can be paid

Stripe must verify who you are before it can pay you — identity, business details, and a bank account. This is Stripe’s legal obligation, not ours, and the information goes to Stripe under Stripe’s privacy policy. You can publish free, enrolment-code and creator-enrolled courses without completing this; you need it only to put a course on sale.

3. What you are credited

For each sale you are credited the creator price you set — the amount before Neda’s margin and before VAT. Stripe’s own processing fee for the transaction is deducted from Neda’s margin, not from your share. [CONFIRM — commercial decision: whether processing fees come out of the margin or the creator price.] Your workspace shows each sale, the amount credited, and the running balance in your connected account. A self-billed invoice is issued for each sale as described in the Creator Agreement.

4. When you can withdraw

Your balance becomes available for payout 14 days after each sale, which is the window in which a learner may exercise a right of withdrawal or a refund under section 3 of the Refund Policy. Once available, you may request a payout to your bank account from your workspace at any time, for any amount up to the available balance; Stripe normally settles it within a few working days, depending on your bank and country. There is no minimum and no payout fee from us. [CONFIRM — Stripe’s payout schedule and any per-country fees.]

5. Refunds and chargebacks

When a learner is refunded, the creator price for that sale is reversed from your connected account. If the refund happens after you have withdrawn the balance, your account goes negative by that amount and the next sales top it up before any further payout; if there are no further sales within 60 days, we will ask you to settle it. Neda reverses its own margin on the same sale. The same applies to a chargeback the learner wins, plus any dispute fee Stripe charges, which is borne by whichever party’s conduct gave rise to it.

6. Currency

Sales are settled in euro. If your bank account is in another currency, Stripe converts at its rate on the day of payout and shows the rate to you. Amounts we display in other currencies for information are converted at the European Central Bank reference rate and are indicative only.

7. Tax

You are responsible for declaring what you earn. We provide the self-billed invoices and an annual statement of amounts credited. We do not withhold tax from payouts unless the law requires us to, in which case we will tell you. Where a platform reporting obligation applies to us (DAC7), we will tell you what we report and when. [CONFIRM with accountant.]

8. When the agreement ends

Any available balance is paid out on the normal schedule after the agreement ends. The connected account remains yours; Neda’s access to it ends.
